Who wants to live forever ?

Today I'd like to do what I'll start calling "Redstars favorite flicks", and todays movie is Highlander, a sweeping tale of immortal beings dating back thousands of years who roam the world in search of the "Prize" . Along the way loves are lost (as well as heads) and a journey through the ages we as viewers can only dream about. I first saw this movie when i was 16 and it has stayed with me ever since. I often used to daydream about being immortal and sword fighting in various places around the world ( wait... i still do that LOL ) but as i got older i started thinking ( ouch) what if i really did live a thousand years and all of those that i loved i watched die just like in the film, how sad someone really must be to go through life afraid of being with someone knowing that someday their friends and family will die and they themselves will keep going for centuries . I even love the movie more as i get older thinking of all the possiblities. Ayway, its a great flick and if anyone who reads this blog hasn't seen it take the dive, my wife cried the first time she saw it and also its got a great soundtrack by Queen :) . I'll leave you with a great quote from the movie " Are stars just pinholes in the curtain of night ? "
