Big Jobs, No Jobs, and Hose Jobs

Well, 6 months have past and there has been a lot of things happening. There is a new President, which I'm not so sure I am that happy about yet, but at least the old one is finally gone. I am wrapping up my first year of college, and I am still unemployed(crap) The Big 3 will soon be no more, Wall street should have been, and we are STILL in Iraq for reasons unknown. My wife and I joined a neighborhood association, which at first seemed kinda fun, but has now turned into a bitch fest( that's what happens when you let other people play in your group.) I am growing tired of the hearing the news on a daily basis, but Ive found it interesting to hear about our recent recession when a lot of America has already been in for quite some time. There is nothing new for them when a big chunk of this country lives check to check every month anyway. I know I am not saying anything new but I haven't heard any of this on the news at all. I want to see lines of wall street bankers lined up outside the unemployment office each Monday morning, I want to see a f---ing car made in America that gets 30plus miles to a gallon in the city. Why must middle America drive cars they don't need? Why are we allowing GM, Ford and that other crappy car company( Chrysler) to force feed us cars that are not practical? I want to see less strip malls and Wal-Mart's. I want less commercials on my TV about I-Phones! and more about solutions to problems, not just PROBLEMS! I want no tax payer money wasted on one American captain held hostage for 5days( just wipe out the life boat, problem solved) How in the hell do a handful of(4 or 5)piss poor shumcks armed with guns take over a that ship anyway? let the shipping companies handle their mess. America is just a punching bag for 3rd world countries armed with blow guns to pollute our airwaves! Why dont we just start over from the beginning? Does this sound familiar? lets pour all the imported goods, with US labels mind you, into the Boston Harbor gather all the gun owning citizens on bunker hill and start laying out the NEW PLAN! NEW PLAN you say? yes, American companies build their products here, foreign companies build their products there, fair tariff trade, bad products disposed of properly, no foreign ownership of American institutions and vice versa. You want citizenship? go through the proper channels, takes too long and you don't want to wait? stay where you are.

Home ownership, every American should have a place to live, a secure job and a retirement plan whether, their company has one for them or they need to make one on their own. Cut the Battle of the Jone's , its not worth losing a home over. Got a phone? a computer? or other communication device? good, but what we don't need is 50gazillion ways to communicate over the same device( a real pet peeve of mine, for the record) :) A full time job in this country should be able to give you a place to live and affordable transportation( no Escalades!) Solutions are there folks, have the courage to give up those things that just feed the Ego and worry about feeding your kids, and getting them the education they deserve, we then will have a future that does not repeat itself. Other than the above, its been a pretty quiet 6 months :)
