The Big 3 : The Donkey the Elephant and the Media Monster
I've been watching some of the political debates on TV and I'm discovering more and more, to me anyway, that its no longer about who has what to say but who allows who to say what and by that i mean, the media. The media is the worst double edged sword this country has ever given birth to, they decide who goes on TV to say what they want and in this case whats been eating at me is the Democrats and Republicans. I know there are other vital political parties out there that have a lot to say, but who knows about them? They will never get the attention they deserve because the media doesn't want to give it to them and the "main" two parties run the show at the major networks, now i only say this not because i have facts to base this on but because of the results that have been laid out before me. Ralph Nader of the once strong Green Party was not even allowed to debate with the other two parties during his major run at the white house and then he was blamed for taking away votes for Al Gore. What if Al Gore took away votes from Nader, did anyone think of that? of course not, the media didn't give any real time for the man to speak his mind and therefore didn't get any air time with those other two idiots. The media likes to promote that they are an impartial process but i know they are full of B.S. look around us, so many problems here in this country never come to light because they decide what we need to know !!!!. We can't trust our own newspapers to provide for us the info thats important anymore. Maybe a lot of this is our fault, rack upon rack of magazines filled with hollywood garbage flood our grocery store check out lines and we as Americans eat it up like ice cream, no wonder the media disregards our opinions or our hopes but things have to change much sooner than later i cant take anymore news at 5 then at 6 then at 7 filled with crap and an over produced weather report. How about giving a forum to the little guy who might have something to say that could turn this mess we created, around. Blogs are not enough and this one included, can not be the alternative to bad media I don't know how much more i can take one or two parties always allowed to get their word heard above all others running for the Presidency. That my friends, can only lead to worse and the media, no matter how much they say otherwise will try to shove it down your throat because we let them. I guess after all this we do have third party the "Media party" and they have a lot of cash.

Most political pundits said that Ron Paul won the first two big Republican debates and yet when the third happened here in Iowa, he wasn't even invited. He ended up coming anyway and they eventually gave him a spot on stage but while the Romney's and the New York Mayors got loads of time, Paul got somewhere around 15 seconds of airtime.
I've always wanted a mandated political channel where all candidates are guaranteed the same amount of airtime as the next guy and all ads must be played only on that channel. If they wanted to get high tech, they could even make it interactive and every fifteen minutes, the viewing audience could vote someone out. Call it political survivor.
i couldn't agree more ED this ridiculous format of force feeding two parties down our mouths has to stop. I'd love a Presidential Survivor LOL !!
