God vs. My Sunday

The NFL season is almost upon us and still one of my worst pet peeves is no alcohol sold before noon on sunday. Why dont we just tatoo a cross on those who beliefs prevent them from purchasing a brew before 12 and let the rest of us have the right to choose the perfect cold one. Too many times have Christian values dominated the rest of this country into submission. I cant count the number of times I've heard athletes on the news and even the president saying " god is on our side" or " I'd like to thank god for this award" . The pregame prayer and even the post game prayer drive me crazy !! ....and they put it on tv of all things!! save it for the religous channels. The last time i checked i thought greed was a sin so why are NFL players making millions and then thanking god for their achievments ? Now I'm not naive to the fact that 95% of the world believes in a god of some sort but i dont think it should be a dominating factor dictating everyday society in the U.S. ..we are a free country are we not? Im sure this was put to a vote on the above issue and im all for a democratic vote but ive heard of no law stopping me from purchasing Playboy at 10am on sunday or buying a gun at 9am ( yes, im aware that most stores of any kind dont open up untill 11am on sunday and im sure god had something to do with that as well ). Can't a guy buy a beer when he got up early to get his day going and drink it later without having to go out again ? ... no he can't, why ? cause' god said so. Then lets raise a glass at 12:01pm to the NFL on sunday and to all those players making millions and hurting eachother purposely and thanking all mighty Jesus with blessing him with the ablility to do so and then going out afterwards with their gun in hand to Las Vegas ( the city of sin ) and shooting up the ceilings of their respected casino screaming hallelujah !!! we won the game !! just let us regular guys have a cold one will ya ?...
