NFL BITES FAN
Ive been a football fan since I can remember, a devoted one to the Pittsburgh Steelers for 30yrs especially. The recent events involving Mr. Vick really is just perhaps the cherry on the sundae of what's been going on since the NFL was founded. Player after player after player have been involved in some sort of controversy or illegal activity since I can remember. One thing i am tired of hearing though is players defending one another for offenses they know to be terrible " he made a mistake, he's my friend ill stand behind him" or " he just needs to get back to doing what he does best and thats playing football" how bout this one.. " I wish him the best and know with gods help, he'll pull through it" , spare me please !!!! Mistake ? tell how he unknowingly put dogs in a position to tear each others faces off and dispose of them ruthlessly?, this shit really pisses me off and another quote i heard from an NBA player saying "its a sport " ....somebody shoot me!! I've heard alot of questions on whether or not this is about race some say yes and some have said no, but i would like to say that this is about a culture, the white culture of this country really doesn't want to say publicly that they find many things wrong with the black culture of this country because they would feel targeted with racial accusations. Lets just admit that most of the black culture doesn't find much wrong with dog fighting or any subject related that has to do with black athletes getting in trouble more often than white athletes, I've heard of no white athletes interviewed yet on this matter of dog fighting or waving guns in the air at night clubs, why, because they would be accused of you know what . Is anyone aware that 75% of athletes in the NFL are black ? or 85% of athletes in the NBA are black as well ? if most of our top sports teams in this country are made up of "minorities" then what does race have anything to do about why Mr. Vick is being prosecuted? Its about what is against the law and what isn't . The next time i hear " well thats the kind of enviroment they come from " im gonna explode. If professional athletes want to fuck up then let 'em and kick them out of their respected leagues what ever color they are but lets quit crying about how black athletes are being picked on more than white athletes . i wonder what the NAACP would have to say if all of the NFL players were black ?
