WOLVES IN JESUS CLOTHING

I watched a great documentary this week called A Flock of DO DO'S, it was the debate between the theory of evolution and intelligent design. Now I have no PHD nor am I priest or minister but i found this debate very interesting since i hadnt really known much about Intelligent Design theories and their fight against evolution taught in public schools. I consider myself a man of reason and never had a notion to believe that an invisible man up in the sky is determining my fate or created every fish and mammal and rock formation in the universe but most of the people in this country seem to think so ( which scares the shit out of me ! ) but still refuse to honor our constitution and try and force feed the rest of us to teach, what i believe is pure nonsense, the belief in god in the classroom. Flag waving red states have no quams in taking a life with a gun the 2nd amendment clearly says you can have but GOD FORBID ( excuse my expression) tell them to seperate church and state and all "Hell" breaks loose. The film also brings up the point that it seems Intelligent design is a frosted cake of Creationism and it might have been a loop hole into getting the debate sparked up again which i cant seem to grasp nor do i really want to, if u want to believe in a god thats fine, just dont let it run the country. People of faith shouldnt be allowed into politics in my opinion, they dont, in all honesty ,have objectivity as much as they would like to tell u otherwise, and thier faith dosent allow room for possibilities and other ideals becasuse quite frankly, their chosen faith dose'nt allow that choice... you believe or u do not, there is Alah, Jehova, Jesus or Budda, and a ton of others... there cant be any other god in their eyes than theirs and your doomed to an afterlife of fire and brimstone of some sort if u dont repent or believe... thats the bottom line.. they just dont want to tell u that because that wouldnt be very polite and those of faith with power cant get us who dont believe, to do what they want us to do, how can they run a nation fair and honest if they believe that others opposed to their god and their morals mandated to them from a book are less than them? An individual of reason and a general compassion for others not based on his or hers faith can see reasons for a god to be in ones life and no agenda to force feed us imaginary beings living up in the sky. In a democracy god should have no place, he is a dictator more or less that tells you you are free to choose as long as you choose from the book he has given you. It is apparent that most people need some god in their lives, for what i dont know, lets just not see it in the governing of our country anymore.

I'm always amazed that you and everyone else feels that they have to believe in one OR the other. I believe in both theories and have no conflicts in either belief.

i dont feel anyone has to believe in one or the other, though Intelligent design is an oxymoron, its a belief that requires no intelligence to understand it, blind faith is all it asks. Evolution asks u took look at the facts that are presented before u and then make your conclusions. Intelligent design still has a "Creator" it has no scientific facts its just relabled creationism without using the word GOD.

You are very correct in saying IC taking blind faith and lots of it. That is why it has never been the 'explain all' in my mind.

IC should have been ID or Intelligent Design.
