Why isn't GOD on a milk carton ?

I am eagerly awaiting the release of the documentary Religulous, it poses the question, are we that idiotic to believe in a man up in the sky listening to every word that every person says on the planet? Oooh, I can't wait to hear what the movie has to say. I have never been one to believe in such ridiculous behavior but I do have some friends who are "believers" but have yet to really provide any evidence to support their stance. Its not that an big issue with me to be honest other than the fact that our government keeps making decisions based on the belief that an all powerful being is up there in the sky somewhere.
